The BENOTTI AERO SL – aerodynamics at the lightest level

The new AERO SL frame has been further improved in its aerodynamics and fibre layup with strong T1000 carbon fibre and is a whole 300 grams lighter than the FUOCO AERO Disc.

During development, the focus was on further optimising the aerodynamics. This can be seen in the optimised distance between the seat tube and rear wheel as well as the design of the adapted transition between the down tube and head tube. The versions with SRAM Red AXS and Shimano Dura Ace Di2 equipment are also equipped with ax-lightness components such as the new ax-lightness ULTRA 45CX carbon wheelset and the new handlebar unit. The handlebars save a further 160 grams, so that the FUOCO AERO SL with the SRAM Red groupset and power meter weighs in at a real 6.4 kg at frame height 54. The whole thing can be topped in terms of lightness – with outstanding stiffness – by equipping it with the Shimano Dura Ace Di2. Here, the entire bike weighs just 6.3 kg at frame height 54.

AERODYNAMIC & WELL THOUGHT OUT

The stem/handlebar unit has a short reach of 80 mm and a compact drop of 127 mm. To this end, we have harmoniously shaped the handlebar arc to easily reach the brake/shift levers at any time from all grip positions. The geometry of the handlebar has been optimized for modern brake levers from Shimano, Sram and Campagnolo. For the best possible tuning of the seating position without compromise, we offer the handlebar/stem unit in all reasonable combinations.

STIFF, DIRECT & CONTROLLED

The result of the developments convinces not only in simulations, but also very impressive on the road! The bike impresses with its high bottom bracket and headset stiffness. In sprinting, the bike convinces with willing propulsion and downhill it can be maneuvered very directly and controlled even through tight corners. Furthermore, the FUOCO AERO DISC scores even in unfavorable wind conditions with a very neutral and track-stable handling. Our also further optimized ax-lightness carbon wheels with a height of 45 mm with the class leader Continental GP5000S contribute to this.
