We have leveraged our many years of experience in carbon construction (wheel building) to develop the new carbon rims of the SELECTION series. With the SELECTION wheel series, we offer outstanding performance at a fair price-performance ratio.
The SELECTION 45CX brings increased aerodynamics into play without sacrificing its all-round potential. With a 45 mm rim depth, 30 mm external width, and 24 mm internal rim width, it offers significantly improved aero performance compared to the 35CX, while remaining well manageable at 1,250 g. Thanks to the bulbous rim shape, it achieves high crosswind stability, while Sapim CX-Ray spokes with external nipples ensure easy serviceability. Ideal for racing on the road, in endurance applications, and on demanding gravel routes.
The in-house ax-lightness disc hubs used in the SELECTION series, featuring CenterLock mounting, compete at the highest level. The rear hub is equipped with a sealed ratchet freehub system. Overall, the focus was on maximum stability with reduced weight. High-quality Enduro hub bearings ensure low friction losses. The 2-cross lacing pattern with 24 Sapim CX-Ray bladed spokes per wheel distributes loads evenly across the rim, resulting in extremely stiff and durable wheels. All wheelsets in the SELECTION series feature external spoke nipples, making maintenance easier without time-consuming tire removal.
The wheelset demonstrates its race capability with our Continental Team BENOTTI Berthold.
