ax-lightness SELECTION 60CX – High performance full carbon clinchers at professional level!
We have made use of our many years of experience in rim construction with our state-of-the-art rims from ax-lightness and also applied it to the carbon rims of our engage by ax-lightness wheels.
The aerodynamic and wind tunnel-tested design with 60 mm profile height and 30 mm outer width gives the wheelset very good aero performance. The bulbous shape creates high aero stability, which pays off with low steering influences even in strong crosswinds.The generous rim width of 24 mm allows the tire to unfold well, thereby increasing performance and comfort compared to narrower rims. The rim width is optimized for road bike tires from 28 mm (up to max. 45 mm) width. The wheelset is delivered tubeless-ready, so that the installation of tubeless suitable tires is possible without any problems. Of course, the wheelset can also be used with tubes. The matte UD finish together with the discreet lasered decals round off the high-quality appearance of the wheelset.
The in-house engage EVO Disc hubs used in the SELECTION series play in the top league, with the rear hub featuring a ratchet freehub. As with the entire wheelset, the focus was on maximum stability combined with reduced weight. High-quality Enduro hub bearings ensure low friction losses.The double-cross spoke pattern with 24 Pillar 1420StraightPull bladed spokes per wheel distributes the load evenly on the rim and enables extremely stiff and durable wheels.All wheelsets from the SELECTION series have external spoke nipples.This facilitates maintenance without the time-consuming removal of tires.
The weight, including tubeless rim tape, is just 1370 grams (+/–5 %), which makes the ax-lightness SELECTION 60CX the ideal for flat and speedy stages.
